Semi-Inversion - Anything here to be concerned about?
Just wanted to check and see if anyone sees anything to be concerned about here. Just went on a cleaning round, and woke Shasal up - and, predictably, she popped her head up to see if there might be food in the offing, even though she ate a F/T small rat just three days ago AND polished off an extra F/T mouse! She's a voracious girl. I've just never seen her coiled up and inverted like this before, even after a large meal. Absurdly cute picture, so long as there's nothing there to be concerned about. She certainly doesn't seem to think there's anything to worry about - When I took her out, she was as mellow and bold as usual, exploring while I got those urates cleaned up and clean paper down. Now she's settled back in again.

She's a beaut! So vibrant. Snakes lay as a snake wants to lay. She doesn't look in distress to me, although it is a odd pose. ;)

    WOW... she is pretty!!!!

I personally wouldn't be too concerned. May just be her comfy position. :)

Usually you see this positioning in building phases and gravid females. I know your girl is too young for that at this point. I think it's just a comfortable position she found and remained that way. She is gorgeous btw! Grats.

Thank you, everyone! I figured she was just finding a comfy position, but I like to get a second opinion, since I'm still pretty new to the hobby. Better safe than sorry! I've heard of females laying like that when gravid - but she is, indeed, too young and too small for that and hasn't ever been exposed to a male. She seems to have hit a growth pause, juuuuust below 1kg...

She really is a wonderful girl. Extremely bold - and she's the one that I have to make sure her tub is closed when I'm feeding anyone else, because I had her poke her head out and snatch someone else's rat off the tongs, even after she ate her own! Greedy slither.

What everyone else said about the position. Not anything to be concerned about. Just wanted to say very beautiful animal.

Gorgeous snake. I think her position is fine. Seems to be my Killerblast's favorite way to lay.

This seriously makes me giggle - all the people like me who find this forum because of a snake not eating, and here you have one that is a food thief! :-)
