Ball Python won't go into hide after washing
My normal female always hides. I've had her for roughly a month now. She's always eaten well, pooped, and in general, hasn't had any problems. However, I performed my first complete cleaning of the tank just two days ago. It is completely rinsed of all cleaning agents. After reintroducing her into the now clean tank, she didn't go straight into the hide, which I expected. (She has always been curious. So much as shifting her water bowl causes her to investigate for a good 20 minutes), but the next day, I find her on top of her hide rather than in it. I'm staying at my Dad's until Friday, so I won't be able to update anyone on her status until then. If someone could just inform me on what the problem might be, (or if there is a problem at all) I would greatly appreciate it.

Hard to say for sure. Did you check to make sure temps were ok? If it was way to hot in there that could be part of it.
What did you use to clean with? Sometimes mine hang out on top of their hides.

The temps were the same as they always have been. She just decided to lay next to the hide. I used bleach, dish soap, and pine sol to wash everything. I did notice that when I laid her Aspen down, the spot where I put the hide was not level. Maybe it's too cramped in the hide

What kind of hide does she have? Could the fragrance of the cleaner be too strong for her?

She has one of those semicircle log hides. And I only used dish soap on her hide and bowl. The tank is what I used bleach and pine sol on.
