Vent before my head explodes

Well it finally happed, i got screwed by a "breeder". He had good reviews on fauna and I just trusted them without being familiar with him since it wasnt that expensive of a 2 gene bp. That is, until what i received is a plain spider that is male instead of female and has MITES. Grr. Before the purchase he answered my emails instantly. After i received it, hes now MIA. I gave him a chance but now ive filed for a charge dispute to my credit card and its pretty cut and dry i did not get what was discussed and i paid for so thats not the issue, im just wondering if i get my full amount back if im expected to come up with another $50 to mail it back or if they somehow make the seller cover that. Has anyone had a similar situation? He still has a big listing on KS thats making me cringe knowing his whole collection has mites and he cant sex them properly. I didnt notice if KS has a place to leave feedback on a seller listing on their site but i do intend to share my experience of him once my credit dispute is finalized. So glad i qt but this is still costing me so much time in treating and scrubbing the enclosure for an animal i didnt want.

Bummer. That's a bummer.

I guess when it seems to good to be true it usually is...awful that someone else is lying to profit. Hope you get your money back and are able to convince them to pay for the shipping...

I feel for you. It has happened to me twice. I try very hard to only buy in person or from very reputable people, but sometimes you have to go outside that circle for a very specific animal. It is risky. The first time, believe it or not, I actually ended up on top. The guy actually ended up screwing himself more than he screwed me.

The second time was just last week. I gave a small guy the benefit of the doubt, which was a mistake. I am still working on getting that one cleaned up.

It seems to be the standard that you have to pay the shipping to send an animal back. Maybe someone who ships regularly can comment on that. I believe you also assume the risk for the animal at that point. If it arrives dead, you have a problem. My business is all local right now so I have not had to worry about these things from the retailer end. There is a lot of mistrust in this business on both the retailer and consumer side. I have done quite a bit of online retailing in other markets and I have never seen policies like there are in the snake business.

im just not sure if its wise to do that before this is resolved but really i guess theres no reason not to. Im only stating facts so it isnt any kind of slander.I have very clear proof of everything and emailed him pictures of mites on the snake and also directly asked if he intends to try making this right with me or just continue to ignore my emails. Ill gladly share his name here but i believe theres a different place thats prefered to list complaints and name names. Unless this whole post should just be moved.

^ this. also some threads in the Fauna BOI have turned really ugly and into witch hunts or pissing matches in past weeks. make sure u have a solid write-up and pix in case the breeder attacks u for the post.

Meh there isnt anything to attach me back about so that doesnt concern me at all. Ill gladly take a video probing the snake to show its male or can have the last few recent people that bought snakes from me confirm my collection is pest free. I also have an unboxing video if someone wants to go as far as saying it isnt the same snake.
Can an admin confirm if its ok to just share the breeders info here?

Popping a male would be more convincing to most.

You can share the breeder's info. As far as sexing does the animal probe male on both side?
