    First BP!
Hello all! On Saturday I bought my first Ball Python! She's a female Ghost, and will be a year old next month.

Her name is Olympia btw. :)

I plan on moving her to a tub when she outgrows her tank. Yesterday she ate a rat, so I'm just letting her relax and hang out for a while before I start handling her.
    Thanks for looking!

Pretty girl! Just something about a single gene ghost that stands out.

Awesome, and congratulations. I know it's hard to do, but I wouldn't touch her at all for four or five days. Just give her a day to digest and a few days to settle in.

    Thank you Dave!
LittleTreeGuy I'm really excited, thanks. It is so hard, I know, I'm not touching her!! :( Thanks for the reminder, I need it, lol.
She got into her water bowl and there is water soaking almost all of her substrate, should I leave it or change it? Maybe just lay some more over the wet parts?
And do you guys think she is too young to have aspen bedding?
    Sorry, I know this isn't a question forum. :)

Good example how even single gene animals can be outstanding.

your substrate looks to be paper towel. i would change it as it would be a quick clean-up and wet substrate can cause irritation or throw off your temps esp. with substrate that doesn't dry quickly.

she's a year old, she will be fine. also plenty of peeps including breeders keep their hatchlings on aspen or other wood substrate. as long as you can hold your humidity and temps, substrate is a matter of preference.

    Thanks everyone!
Ax01 thank you, I just really didn't want to bother her. I'll be moving her to aspen sometime soon probably.
CrazyPiston isn't she just gorgeous? :) That's what I've heard, haha!!
