Minimum weight for a male to breed?

I'm new to this and probably ask allot of stupid questions but I just want to make sure I minimize health risks as much as possible. Today I bought 3 more ball pythons in total. 1 a 0.1 2500g normal female, the other a 0.1 1500g normal possible het pied and the other a 1.0 male normal possible het pied. I'm not sure of his weight yet but I'll know tommarow. What I want to know is if there is a minimum weight or length the male needs to be before I can try pairing him to the other possible het pied.

There is really no such thing as a minimum weight. Maturity comes into play as well. If you breed your 6 month old male at 500g, he may breed, but sperm potency (lack thereof), may lead to infertile eggs.

Your males must be mature enough to breed successfully. I like my males 9 months old and 900g. This seems to be successful for me personally. Out of 250+ eggs this season I've only had 1 infertile egg and zero slugs.

I have bred males at 450g-500g and 5-6 months old, but the success rate of a viable clutch is much lower.
