    Cage dimensions
What is the smallest dimension of a cage for adult ball Python?

I plan to buy a rack system in the near future but my daughter wants a display cage for one of the snakes.

Rack system I want is the rhino raxx 4 tub from boaphileplastic
Cage I was looking at boaphileplastic or vision

Generally I've heard 36x24x12 or 18 but I could be wrong. You could look at animal plastics t8 dimensions for a display enclosure. Many people use these for adult balls

It depends on the size of the adult, because there's a pretty huge size variation. But generally, I've read 36" long is pretty basic (20 gallon tank).

I personally like 4'x2's, but that's just me. It makes the caging sizes a lot more uniform with my other snakes, and my ball python was raised from a hatchling in a homemade enclosure of about the same size so that's what he's used to. A 3'x2' like the others said is more common for ball pythons and should be plenty for the majority of adults.

Minimum size? A 32 qt tub would be the minimum size I'd use to house an adult male. I'd use larger if the male grew past about 1900 grams. A CB 70 is probably the smallest I'd use for an average adult female.
