    Super mojave hatchling colors
I hatched a clutch mojave enchi x mojave and the results were:

    0.1 mojave
    0.1 mojave enchi
    1.1 BEL

The two BELs look the same and the male just had his first shed.

    My question:

Do your regular super mojaves have a pattern on the body (I have never hatched a super mojave nor examined a hatchling well). I am tring to determine whether both or either of these guys have the enchi gene in them as well. They both have the head pattern and a yellow line down the spine. On either side of the yellow line they have a thick purple area and on the sides there is a very faint cream colored pattern. I know if they have enchi, this pattern will yellow with time/growth. So.....is a regular super mojave body solid white or do they display a pattern on the sides?

    pix?

i've seen Super Mojo's varies. i've seen most with faded purple/grey heads, some with yellow dorsal striping and ones that are almost completely white (including head).

here's one from WOB with a stripe and very feint pattern:

i've seen ones with yellow tinged bodies as adults as well. here's one (also courtesy of WOB):

there's also always the ability to black light the babies to see if there's any pattering within the whites.

    good luck, post pix. :)

also fyi, my (albino) Super Mojo is all white. :)

Edit: i also know someone who just hatched BEL's and will be figuring out if there's Leopard influences in the babies.

Haha Ax01, that's me!!! This is my first time hatching them but like Ax01 said, I'm in a similar situation with some BELS I just hatched possibly having the leopard gene in them. Luckily I have 3 to compare to each other once they shed. If the pattern isn't immediately obvious to the naked eye. I will probably try to use a black light on them like I've seen done in some videos in the past. Even further, I'll probably have someone else give second and third opinions that have hatched them before.

that one i saw looks as purple as any Purple Passions i've seen. can't wait to see them outta the egg. :)

Edit: i've seen Leopard add pattern and yellows to Ivories and Highways. i know, different set of genes tho.

Me too. I can't wait to see them in person as well. The joys of fire season. I will definitely be posting pics and the results. Might even make a cool video if the results are good.

A little update, this is the first pic of the clutch we discussed above. They haven't shed yet, So I'll take more pics and update you on the findings. I'm hoping I can find leopard influence in at least one of the BELS.

The second of my two is in shed now, finally. If I were to guess right now, I would say the first BEL hatched is a super mojo and the second is a super mojo enchi. I will post pics of them together after the second has shed. Good luck with the leos Mike!:gj:
