    Cleaning mom's cage
First time mouse breeder here - mom is ready to pop anytime. She is huge! I know to leave her alone right now, but when is it safe to move her and the babies to a clean bin? Should I move mom first, or the babies?

With a good well adjusted and established colony, you can move everybody within hours. I always move the mother first, by doing so she does not see me pick up the babies and therefore does not perceive me as a threat and try to bite me, but it can be done the other way around too.

What about a small colony that is just getting started? Wait a week?
