Very nice photos! (and thanks for the links :D ) I especially liked the last one :P She only needed bunny ears to make it perfect!

I was wondering if you ever had problems with picking up parasites from letting them roam around outside? I've considered it with Lily but wasn't sure if it was safe for them.

In such short grass and on the concrete, there isn't much to worry about with parasites. Ticks are usually found in tall grass and trees(attack from above, Ahh!), but we don't have too much of a problem with them here(in our yard anyway). We do have ants, but they are usually the black sugar ants or the wood ants, and they steer clear. No fire ants for us.

Thanks for the compliments, and yes I have considered putting something on her... But I doubt she'd let me, LoL. She kind of looks like she's going "Pffft! Neener Neener!" Hehe

I'd seen lots of pictures of people taking them outside, but I just wanted to make sure. No fire ants here either! (nasty little things!) I'm not sure how bad the ticks are yet, do you think I need to worry about those chigger things (red bugs)?

Maybe on you, but they would find the snake much too difficult to burrow into. They are stupid little bugs too, bleh. If they get on you, a little clear fingernail polish will do the trick :) When Amani was on the concrete, there was a few black sugar ants(about 2-3), but they never came near her. She's getting better about going in the grass, but still halfway clings to my foot, LoL.

Speaking of chiggers. A few weeks ago I had gone to a plant nursery, and was looking at the clay pots. I lifted one up, and it was crawling, and boy, do I mean crawling, with chiggers. I was surprised I didn't bring any home on me. Ick!

Glad to hear you didn't any extras from the nursery. I hate those things! :bleh:

How long have you had Amani? She sounds like she is definitely thriving! Good gracious what a chubby girl!

LoL, she is a little chunky butt. I've had her since November 18th, she weighed maybe 200g, and fit in the palm of my hand(with room to spare). Now everyone say "Awww", LoL. :aww:

    Awwww..... :aww:

I love her pattern, very nice! Wow, she sure is growing. My new adoptee is still under 200g and the last owners said they'd had her 6-7 months. Good gracious she should be closer to Amani's size. I'll definitely work her up to chunky butt status!
