    Shedding Issue
So Nero's shedding, but its all coming of in little patches, not in one piece. His humidity is 60 percent, so I dont know why its coming off in one piece. Will soaking him perhaps help?:confusd:

There's a sticky for that in General BPs.

I read once that humidity matters most when the skin is forming - if I recall correctly Nero was a recent purchase?

Pretty sure Nero is a new snake? If so, when new animals first shed it is possible for them to have a bad one regardless of the conditions in the current environment. You have to factor in the conditions he came from. It could also be that you are keeping it in a tank where you are always at war with low humidity. In any case soaking will help. The damp towel method works also. Look it up on youtube. There are a couple good videos. One by BHB and another by RDR I believe.

Yes, Ive had him about 2 months. This is his second shed with me. I have a room humidifier that always keeps the room at 60 percent.

When I notice Val going into blue I always raise the humidity to 70% + with some moss. Hope you get rid of the stuck pieces...good luck and hopefully the next shed will be a clean one.

Ok, but what is the humidity in the tank? I don't keep my snakes in tanks but I do have a lizard in one. The humidity outside the tank is way higher than the humidity inside the tank due to the heat lamp.
