You just bought you VERY FIRST BP today and are already thinking about breeding :confusd:

I would suggest that you take the next few month to come to 1/ gain experience as a keeper and see how that goes, 2/ research and learn everything you can learn about genetics and breeding.

You will also need to ask yourself the right questions?

Are you equipped and have the necessary found to house breeders and their offspring even if the said offspring take months to sell or do not sell.

Will you build or buy an incubator, will you let the female incubate.

Will you breed or buy feeders, if you plan on buying them do you have a supplier that can provide X number of live preys when your babie's hatch and do so with consistency.

Breeding is more than putting two snakes together and the first thing it to get some experience as a owner under your belt.

You need to learn to walk before you can run.

Everything Deborah said ^ there... 199% accurate.

However - there's nothing wrong with dreaming of the future! I bought my first in 08 after joining and learning the nature and ins and outs of BPs on this forum as I mostly had experience in just garters and racers (don't recommend keeping those)

Long story short.. 8 years later I'm actually just now BEGINNING to work toward breeding. If I could make a little money at it cool but in all reality I'm after certain morphs that appeal to me just for my collection [emoji3]
