Cord and pipped egg care????
Yesterday my very first clutch had its first pipper on day 55 so i cut the other two egg that were in the clutch. All babies looked good in the eggs. And this morning when I went in to check on the hatchlings one of them was laying inverted in the egg. It's alive and moved when I touched egg. My question is are there any signs to watch for as far as umbilical cord problems go? I dont want to dig around in the egg or move or disturb the hatchlings. The pipper that pipped on his own seems very alert and looks great, just taken his time coming out.http://ball-pythons.net/gallery/file...611_081923.jpg
Re: Cord and pipped egg care????
Hard to tell from the picture, but it looks fine. The only way to tell if it's umbilical cord is twisted is if you cut a giant hole out of the egg and see that it is visibly around the snake.
