Recovery time for male

If I was breeding a make to multiple females, is there a minimum amount of recovery time that he needs? I'm can't really find info on this topic (or I'm searching wrong)

Mine get 3 days on, 2 off.

Depends on how many females you are trying to breed him to. If I'm shooting for 4-5 females, I usually try leaving him in for 2-3 days then give him another 2-3 days off. A male I'm only planning to breed to 1-3 females will get about a week off. As long as he makes it in with each female at least once a month.

I think your asking IF they need time off. They are animals, they DO need rest. Not only to recuperate, but if you want viable eggs. His sperm count needs to go back up.

I usually start pairing on monday morning, check for locks. If by tuesday evening he does not lock i move him to the next female in the line.
The moment i see a lock i note it and when they untangle I put him on rest till next monday.

I like to follow the 1 copulation a month schedule, would the amount of locks go beyond the point where the weekly schedule does not work i shorten it in slightly. Though I aim for 3 ish days off, especially after a lock.

Usually if one of my males locks with a female.I give him three or four days off. I only breed my females once a month.
