Anybody ever encountered this?
I've had little noodle the killerblast about a week now. Haven't really messed with him just opened the tub to see what he's doing and whatnot and that's it. This little fella refuses to use his hide and has really grown fond of curling up in the back corner.
Male normal and female Mojave love their hides and being directly on the heat tape. Wondering if maybe never having had a hide at the breeders if it's just not his thing?

Valentine did this awhile back but I quickly realized her hides were not secure enough for her taste. What kind of hides are you using?
I'm totally assuming that the temps are all set up correctly like your other noodles =)
Sometimes when she's going into shed she likes to be weird in hide in odd places like under her water dish... maybe it will just take it a bit to settle in.

I use all rbi with my adults been awhile since I had a noodle so to speak so this little dude has the snuggest of kool whip bowls until I get his in from RBI which by my count should be anytime in the next day or so.

Usually if you put them under the hide then they seem to love it. Sometimes you just have to introduce them to the hide. Once they start feeling secure in there then they will use them regularly. Sometimes. I've had luck doing that but some of them just feel comfortable being out.

Yeah I think he's that rare breed. He stayed in it for a little bit then back to his corner. Tomorrow will be a week so he'll be getting fed Thursday or Friday.

Yeah he may be that rare kind that just likes to be out lol. I'd keep the hides in there just in case though. All the clutter in the tub may be making him feel secure enough that he doesn't feel like he needs to hide so possibly removing stuff may stress him out

The RBI hides might do the trick since the are really dark and secure.
My killer bee was like that for 5 days when using butter bowls, would not use her hides and then on the 6th day I received my RBI hides and put her face in the entrance and she slithered in and then 3 days later I took her out and then showed her the cool hide the same way and ever since then she uses both.
