Questions about incubation.
I have seen in others posts people referring to using substrate-less incubation. I may be over thinking things but I guess I don't understand how this works. Wouldn't you need to keep the humidity around 90-100%? If not how would you set it up? Thanks in advance for your help and advice on my post.
Re: Questions about incubation.
It's not really substrateless, you are using a medium but it does not come in direct contact with the eggs.
So it is foolproof, the eggs never dry out and never get too wet.

Over the years I have changed a few things but now I have it to where it's perfect, no condensation until the last week of incubation.
This what I use
7 quarts sterilite lachable tubs
4 cups of vermiculite or perlite
2 cups of water
Light difuser
Incubated at 88.5

Thank you for the wonderful information! How does the light diffuser work? I have never really seen one.

Light diffusers are sold at stores like home depot, they come in 2x4 sheets, so you just cut it to the size of your tubs, stir the water in your medium, lay the light diffuser on the top of your medium, place your eggs on theblight diffuser and close the tub.

Thank you both for clarifying everything, I will give it a shot on my next batch of eggs when we breed again!
