    First time not eating?
So tonight was feeding night for my young BP. I did the usual routine. Took the thawed mouse, with some tongs and dangled it infront of her hide hole. She usually goes for this right away. But this time she was just staring at it. When she decided to strike, she missed for the first time Ive ever seen. Then she went right back in her hide. So I decided to leave her alone for a little while and tried again. Same thing, stared, then striked but failed again. So I just left the mouse near her hide and she dragged it in later, but didnt eat it. She all of a sudden started exploring her tank, all full of energy. I took advantage of her being out to grab the mouse from under her hide and put it back in the fridge, so I can try again in a week.

Should I be worried about anything? Is the mouse still good? This is the first time shes done this. Every other weekly feeding has gone great.

I'm by no means an expert on snakes, but I've experienced this with my little boy on his first thawed mouse. I threw the mouse away and waited until he started about his "journey" thawed another and he ate it. The difference for me was that I ran to Walmart grabbed a blow dryer to heat it up and used the temp gun until the head was around 103 degrees and it worked.

I'd say wait a couple of days and the next time you offer, as whiSKi08 mentioned, make sure the prey is nice and warm before you offer it. once mine are thawed, I put them (in a Ziploc baggie) submerged in a bowl of the hottest tap water I can get, for a few minutes. when I take it out of the water, and out of the baggie, it's pretty warm. Never had an issue.
