First Feed

So I just tried to feed my new BP for the first time and no luck, he stayed out for about 30min on top of his hide and hovered over the mouse but just returned to under his hide after, the entire time he was above it with his head back and neck in a s shape (the "look") bet yet won't eat, He is 195 grams, 21 in long, 3 in in gerth. I went to pet land and got frozen large feeders (3 in in gerth) and I thawed it in hot water then warmed it with a blow dryer. I know he is under weight but should I be worried? Should I go get medium feeders or even small? They said he was roughly 6months old.

Your feeders sound perfect in size. Make sure the rodent is thawed all the way and heat just the head with a hair dryer. Probably just settling in still. Wait a week until you try to feed again.

What is your setup like? Cage type and size? Temp hot and cool? Humidity? Heat source? Thermostat? Substrate? What are you using to take temps? Hides you use?

20 gallon tank with a utp, waiting on thw regulator so I keep turning it off and on (runs to hot) with 50% humidity in the room.I'm using aspen so that's why I was feeding on hide. 2 thermometers, one prob under his main hide

The temps not being stable could be contributing to refusal also. Once that's stable and your snake has settled in it should eat. 50% Humidity in the room or in the tank?

Room, tank is roughly 60, he had a bad shed and is stressing shedding because of the recent move

Humidity is good just bump it up to 70-75 when you see signs of shed. Every time your snake refuses food wait another week. Don't keep trying to feed everyday. It can take time. The size your feeding sounds perfect so dont worry about changing size or anything yet. What was it eating prior to you buying?
