    Enclosure idea-good or bad.
Hey guys, I have an opportunity to get ahold of an item I think would make a good enclosure and I'm looking for some second opinions!
It's a Jewelry Store display case
    -front and top are glass
-rest of the structure is melamine
    -locking back door entry
Inside dimensions are: 7 feet long x 1.8 feet wide, but the inside height is only 8 inches

I would section it off to have 2 enclousres at 3.5feet long each.
Do you think 8 inches in height is enough?
I like it because it is extremely well built and has locking doors (I have a toddler)

    Cheers!

3.5' x 8" doesn't sound like it would be horrible to me then again I've had YEARS of experience with tanks and perfecting the art. Just recently switched to a rack system which I am a huge fan of. Unless you know the uphill battle and how to win it you're gonna be asking a lot of questions with mixed responses and it'll become incredibly frustrating!

Melamine is cheap you could build one. Better yet build a PVC. At my local home.depot melamine is about $40 and PVC is exactly 78. You can make swing doors or sliding glass. There's so many design options when building your own cages. I have built 2 enclosures for each of my beardies and a rack for Leos I breed. Plus 7 I've built for friends. I would of built them for my bps but I just didnt have the time and been running into good deals. But like I said endless possibilities for diy if you or someone you know is handy. You can also do a lot of nifty stuff with a router.

I was going to build a melamine one myself, then I came across these in storage.
Unfortunately for me, pvc sheets in my area are 250ea! At that price I might as well buy a pvc cage
Probably go back to my building ideas :)
