    BBQ, Grilling and Cook-Out Thread
Firstly, thank u to all those who have served in the military. All free folks are indebted to your service and sacrifice.

    :salute: :salute: :salute:

Ok, Memorial Day weekend is upon us and it’s the unofficial start of the BBQ/Grilling season! Are you having a cookout this weekend? This summer?

I’m just gonna go chill with family this weekend and we’re gonna keep it simple. So it’s burgers and weiners. But what are u doing? anything fancy?

I’m still learning how to BBQ and working, gonna experiment with indirect grilling, low and slow style this summer.

Here’s a pix on some of my grilling. Don’t’ remember when, but it was on a gas grill.

Anyway who’s cooking what? What are your recipes and techniques? Share them here! Got pix? Post ‘em! Drool…

This thread making me hungry... OMG.

I'm going to Disneyland to hang out (because it is free for me and guests WHEE), and then making korean bbq on a gas grill at the park. But that's the only bbq my family know how to make properly, I'm pretty sure. :D

I'll either be making baby back ribs or pulled pork. Both are equally easy on a gas grill because you cook them with low heat for a sufficient time wrapped in foil. Pulled pork takes about 8 hours and ribs take about 2 hours. I have a gas grill for convenience and consistency but I prefer food cooked on charcoal or wood if it is an item to be flame grilled such as burgers and steaks. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Yeah! I'm actually an environment artist, but yep in their TV animation department. We still have to wait in line, unfortunately. Just 20% discount on food and anything bought in the park, and free to go whenever we want with 3 guests.

Also, that photo looks so GOOOOOOD.

I'm actually a vegetarian, yet I can throw down on some veggie dogs with caramelized onions and some sriracha mayo and garnished with a little bit of cilantro [emoji7][emoji7][emoji7]

Work is having a pitch in, but that just means store bought cookies and maybe some macaroni salad (also store bought) >___>

Between me and the hubby I'm the grill nut; Monday's menu is slow cooked baby back ribs, BBQ chicken, sweet corn, baked beans and homemade coleslaw.

Bought a Big Green Egg (ceramic grill) several years ago; bit expensive at first but well worth the money. Everything I've cooked on it has come out mouth watering delicious.

I have 40 ish Jamaican jerk seasoned chicken drumsticks from our weekend bbq still. Dividing them up and freezing some for quick meals.

I made a copycat of red lobster's pina colada sauce (that the serve with their coconut shrimp) to pair with the chicken. So much yum.

It's usually just to danged hot to cook during the summer, once a week or so we grill up some meat in bulk and pick on it all week long.
