    Feeding Time Habits?
It's always a good night when all 8 snakes take their food and eat it too! Having so many snakes now it's fascinating to me how different each one acts when the mouse/rat is offered.

Bumi our banana lemonblast, is very shy and his first instinct is to run away from the scary (dead) mouse, and it usually takes him ten minutes to realize that oh hey, it's food!

On the other hand our big gal Azula always assumes strike position before her tub is even open. Last night we got to see how far she can launch her three feet self in order to get her rat!

What about your snakes? Do they have any unique or odd quirks when it comes to feeding?

I have two that when I crack the tub will strike with about a third of their body outside the tub then pull the rat back in. I don't recommend allowing them to do this but it keeps me entertained. I also have a couple idiots that will strike a dead rat very hard that has been laying in their tubs for a half hour or so. I can hear the strike in the next room. I find it amazing how varied their feeding habits are among individual animals.
