I found this girl on CL for 300$ which is including setup (noob set up but still) do you guys thing it is a good deal? I am wary about craigslist for snakes especially because of RI and IBD but this deal is sweet

I just picked up a really nice 550 gram killer bee female about two weeks ago for about 140 from a local reptile store.

    that's an ok price.

but wow! that's a great example - i love it's reduced lines and lack of eyes. it's almost like it has another gene, maybe Enchi in it. that's not the best pix to show colors tho, but i can see whites and yellows highlights.

i would definitely check it out in person. look it over really good for physical and health issues. beautiful BP.

I would like to say that I got some kind of super bargain but not really. I have a good relationship with my local shops and I make my rounds every couple weeks. The stores know the kind of stuff I am looking for and they let me know when they have stuff. They know I will drop the money if the deal is sweet enough. In this case one of the stores had just gotten in 4+ killer bees so I assume they wanted to move them. Anything super pastel here is not that rare and there is quite a bit of competition price wise.

Depends on health, size and if she is really a she. It is a nice looking animal. If it does have enchi in it, it totally changes the game. I wouldn't pay more than 160 for a female killer bee, but like I said earlier they are cheap where I am at.

Yeah my 213g (at the time) killer bee female I bought at the beginning of April was only 150 and that was after talking the pet store down $110. She was originally at $260 and they only had her a month but after the manager telling me he couldn't go down in price we talked for another 10 minutes about my reptile collection and such he said I'll be right back and went into an employee only room and came back out 5 minutes later with a box and said you know what I'll drop the price on her for you, you seem like you will treat her good. He also told me that's one of the reasons he prices herps high is bc he knows that someone that would lose interest and stop caring for them wouldn't spend that much on a snake. Those are his words not mine.

Like above said depends on health and size and looks. If you know how to pop a bp make sure you do that when you go look at her so you know for a fact she's a she. Offer $120-$150 and if they say no then ask them how much they would take. If the price is still high then offer 10-20 less and say that's all you have to spend.

As long as you have money for caging, thermostat, heating, other supplies, food, and possible vet bills try to get her.

    Remember QUARANTINE!!!

Looks like on Morphmarket they are going from a low of $140 to a high of $500. Sounds like a mid range price to me.
