    gravid or not?
I have had a female regular ball for several years. I got a lemon pastel with possible bumblebee. They locked together several times a couple days after Valentine's day. She has recently refused food. After reserching the signs showed that she was gravid. Her body half inverted for a day and then her eyes turned blue like she was going to shed, but no shed and eyes are now normal. I have incubater set up and ready to go. This will be my first clutch. She is more laying normal with her tail on outside of coil, but not a tight coil. Is this phantom gravid signs or what?

The eyes will always go clear again a few days before shed. In a few days she will shed and then it should be a 27 day count (although I've heard of up to 40 days) down before eggs if she is gravid. I have had gals that give me *no* sign of being gravid and bam...eggs. So keep the incubator warm for the next few months! Good luck!!

I was told that since he "shakes" while eating, he could have done bumblebee.

My lesser female laid 34 days after shed and my big normal female laid 30 days after shed .

Did you ever catch her ovulation? That's where your countdown should begin.

Before ovulation they will go seek the cooler temps of the enclosure, almost entirely avoiding the hot spot. After ovulation on the other hand, you will suddenly notice them sitting back on warm side of enclosure. That's how I know they have ovulated if I miss it. It's 99% fool proof from my experience
