Which is worth more, pied or clown?
    Hi guys

Just a general question as to what people see as more valuable on the market. Post your choice and why.

I agree with Deborah, both are highly desired among collectors and breeders. Either way you will have some beautiful snakes.

Clowns cost more where I'm from but I prefer pied.

The clown morph is worth a bit more than pied right now due to the fact that it was more recently discovered. In my personal opinion the fact that pieds are such stunning animals will help them keep their value better over the next ten years or so.

The founding of the Clown and Pied is only separated by a two year difference. Clown in 1999 and Pied in 1997, not too big of a difference. They should both hold value for a long time, like Deborah said, there is a high demand for both and has been since they were first produced and shown.

That is simply not true people have known of piebald ball pythons since the sixties, and have been working with them since the eighties. I am not sure why WOB gives Peter Khal credit in 1997, but my guess is that is when he proved out the method of heritability.

The founding of a gene is solidified with it heredity. Which is why they have it at 1997, which he had them prior to that year, he proved them out to be genetic in 97 in Ball Pythons.
