    Throw back photo.
    2 years ago. June 2014.

What a properly fed boa constrictor should look like.

Note the lateral compression and tall body. I'm not just saying this because it is my snake. Gus Rentfro produced this BC and he was as exacting as one could get when it came to producing healthy, locality animals.

Everybody that owns a boa should strive to have it live beyond 25 years.

I liked this picture and really nothing more.

    Thanks for looking.

    Have a safe weekend!

Very nice-any thought on my males condition? I'm constantly second guessing myself as he's the only adult I own. Fed every 3 weeks a med or large rat. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...84f8f33388.jpg

Boas are such great snakes. My Hog Island is all muscle and so strong. He's four feet long and when he compresses you can feel it. It won't be long before I won't be able to let him wrap around my neck. But such a great personality and fun to own. He's in the middle of shedding at the moment but I'll get a couple of pics when he is done.

    My thought is,,,

    I'm jealous!

What a beautiful snake. I have a small list of snakes I really want to own and that species is one of them.

    He looks in great shape!

Awww thanks! A bc was high on my list of coveted snakes so I'm very happy I got him and want him around a long time.
