Male BP size and Hides

hey all
I have a male normal BP who is about 2 years old and last week was weighed in at 950g. I have two medium Reptile Basics hides and they seem to be fine at the moment but I made the mistake of ordering large....and they are pretty large, and I dont ever see him fitting in those hides. Is it possible a MALE will get that big? It doesnt seem like a snug fit, and the opening is huge. He fits OK in the mediums right now but I had seen previous posts saying that once a bp hits 1000g to use the large hides..just looking for advice on Male size and what the appropriate size hides should be

I have an 800g BP in a large. I think he's a male but not sure. It doesn't fit in his tank properly but he likes it anyway :D.

I have a 1200 gram boy who wants to wear the RBI med hide like a hat and won't have anything to do with a large.

I also have a 400 gram guy who prefers the large size. Every snake is different, and since none of the RBI hides break the bank, it's pretty easy to keep plenty of each size on hand.
