Feeding a hiding BP

After placed my 8 month old BP in her new tank, she went straight to burying herself under the substrate. Didn't even go for her hide, she's still in the same position from then. I don't even think she's moved.

Anyway, her second feeding day with me is coming up pretty soon and I'm wondering how am I gonna feed her if she's still hiding. Should I lift her out of her bedding and place her ontop of it? Should I remove some of the bedding on top of her? Or should I just dangle her food above her and see if she pokes her head out from under it?

Just hold the food out. If she is hungry she will come out of hiding the eat.

Dangle the food over her, and maybe even touch it to her so she's aware it's there. Or just leave it in the tank overnight and she'll eat when she wants (don't leave live food overnight)

She may well smell the food and poke her head up to be ready to ambush her dinner. Sometimes I will scritch at the side of the cage with a fingernail to get my guy's attention, but then he smells it and knows very well that it's coming.

Touching her with it would be the last thing I would do. Some bps won't eat if touched with there meal. My male won't at all, he will just ball up till I walk away. Usually the smell will bring them out. If you do decide to in burry her do not use your hand with a rodent near by, she may mistake your hand for food.
