    First Ball Python!
Hello, I'm thinking of getting my first ball python! I'm hopefully going to go on to breed them. Any suggestions of any base morphs/morphs?
I like nice clean and yellow snakes that pop out at you.

If you like clean, bright morphs, then I would suggest enchi, pastel, orange dream, fire, yellow belly, and banana where co-dominant genes are concerned. I think albino, candino/toffino, lavender albino, candy/toffee are some recessive genes that might interest you. I'm sure I'm leaving something out, but these are all good base genes to have in a collection. All of these are also relatively accessible financially, aside from pure candy and toffee. If you plan on breeding, I would also suggest getting a multi-gene male that you can use to breed a few females with fewer genes. Generally you will get a bit more "bang for your buck" this way, as males are usually less expensive than females with the same number of genes. Hope this helps.

This is a leopard pastel 2 days after shedding. The man I bought it from chose this line of morphs to breed, and he had several very nice looking BPs.

I love pastel yellowbellies. They are a lot brighter than pastel alone. :)

Since you don't own any BP's yet, read this before selecting snakes for breeding, as some morph combos are lethal or have other problems:
