How much do RHPs raise the temps?
So I'm not allowed to heat my room and it gets to like 60 F sometimes! I don't know if an RHP will be enough but I can't use a CHE because I already have the cage with no screen top. I'm really kind of stuck right here and I don't want to order the RHP (80w) if it won't be sufficient!
    Thanks,
    Mizan

How big is your enclosure? For what it's worth, I have an 80-watt RHP on a 20-gal tank (foam wrapped around the tank on three sides) in a room that gets down to 55ish and it works like a charm. Way, way better than the 60-watt CHE I had before, and way safer because it doesn't get as hot.

The only problem is the temptation to open the cage just to warm my hands on the RHP, and let in all the cold air!!

Haha thats what blankets and gloves are for tho. I'm going to get a 48 inch cage by 24 by 12 (Height).
