Quarantine Necessary?

I may get another BP this summer, and I need some opinions on the quarantine process. Since I only have one other BP should I go through the work to separate the new BP from the old? If I were to quarantine, the new BP would most likely be just outside of the door as it can't go upstairs, and anywhere else in the basement would likely be too close to the heating/cooling unit which distributes air throughout the entire house.

3 to 6 months MINIMUM!! Depends on source of animal.
Is it necessary? Can you replace what you have?

I'm aware of how long one quarantines, but do you normally house all of your quarantines together? Or do you have separate locations for each? Technically my BP would be under quarantine if it wasn't my first as I got her in mid April.

Always, always quarantine! I had a gecko in quarantine and kept extending her time in quarantine because she didn't seem quite right. After months the problem surfaced, and after a trip to the vet and medication she was OK. Months later I removed her from quarantine. Reptiles can take some time to show symptoms, and you don't want to infect any animals you might already have. Handle the quarantined animal last, keep it in a separate room if at all possible, and if anything looks not quite right, extend the quarantine. And it goes without saying--always wash your hands afterward, and use reptile cage sanitizer if you have it. If you can house quarantines separately, that would be the ideal. If any look off, definitely find them a separate location.

It's a pain but yeah you need to do it, or run the risk of spreading something or even possibly killing your other known healthy snake.

And I will ask YOU a question is skipping quarantine worth it?

Can you take a chance on jeopardizing your collection and possibly lose everything because of poor or lack of quarantine (and I know a few people who it happened to)?

I quarantine EVERYTHING, does not matter who or where it comes from (and I buy from a handful of people I truly trust)

My QT rack has 3 slots so it helps me limit what I buy. I do also have a couple 20L tanks should I need to keep someone out on their own.
Also depends who I get them from but should I have 1 in QT and take in another that I feel safe enough to put in the rack then the time starts all over for the first one.
