    Big enough for medium mice?
Does my baby ball python look ready for medium mice? I don't have a weight yet, so just based on size right now, I'll be getting a scale on Tuesday, but he's really hungry now. Once again based on looks:http://imgur.com/uPRaisbWhat do you guys think?

Difficult to tell from the picture, but it does look like he should be able. Could you maybe post another picture with something to base off of. (Pencil, dollar, ruler)

usually a baby's first meal is a hopper/small mouse or a rat fuzzy. So as long as he isnt too young, a medium mouse should be fine. Just eyeball a mouse that is about the same width as he is at his widest part and you're all set. :gj: hope this helps

This is what I do, I take a piece of string and put around the widest part of snakes body then I hold where the strings meet and take it off bp and then cut it. Then I take the string with me to where I get rodents and wrap it around the prey and whatever one it fits best around is the one I get. A tiny bit bigger won't hurt anything if the mediums happen to not quite make the ends of the string meet. You may be surprised though, my killer bee I bought a month ago was being fed small mice which I knew were to small so I took the string with me and mediums were even to small, large was perfect.
