How to move house with BP Eggs?

So one of my snakes just laid a clutch of eggs... Two weeks before we are going to be moving our life across the country. I did not breed any of my snakes this year in anticipation for the move, but semen retention got me!! So now I am faced with moving two week old eggs 12 hours in the car. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this in the safest way possible? The female who lay the eggs is a mystic potion and she was bred 18 months ago to a Special so the clutch is potentially carrying a Crystal. So, even though the timing sucks, I really want to see this clutch hatch out successfully!!

Thanks for any ideas or advice.

Buy a portable generator

Any breeders or other keepers nearby that could maybe keep the clutch for you until they hatch out?

Actually not a bad idea. You can get one of those little power inverters for your car for about $20 that will put out 110v.

No inverted needed, for about $50 you can get a cooler/warmer unit that plugs directly into the cigarette lighter. I would use a digital thermometer with a probe on a cord so you can monitor the temperature inside without having to open it, or relying on the unit's thermostat since it may not be accurate.

This may be a dumb question, but have you candled the eggs to make sure they're fertile?

Yes, of course!! I always candle my eggs, and these ones all had strong veins. They were also very large, plump eggs.

I have a reptibator in storage that I guess I could pull out for the trip and plug it into an inverter, or invest in the car warmer/cooler unit. What I'm concerned about is the bumps and vibrations. Rolling eggs are not good, but can an egg withstand 12 hours of car vibrations?

Last year I moved a clutch for a 7 hour car ride. I just put the egg tub in a styrofoam cooler and didn't do anything special and all eggs hatched perfectly fine. BP eggs are hardier than you think!

I don't think the vibrations will matter. I mean, gravid females are flown over from Africa and shipped FedEx, and the eggs hatch out.

I'm thinking if they are in vermiculite or perlite, or a substrate of that kind, they would probably be fine. I doubt the vibrations would be enough to harm them.
