How do you guys feel about freckles?
So, how do you guys feel about freckling in banana ball pythons??

For me, I honestly just don't like the look of them. To me it makes banana ball
python have a less refined look. I wanted a banana ball python soooo badly and tried to get over all the
freckles, but I just really couldn't, which is how I ended up with my pastel
It also constrasts soo strongly with the white and yellow.

I accept them as part of the morph. I think they give the Banana a distinctive look.

I love the paradoxing honestly. I think it looks neat.

Like a banana cookies and cream snake!

I'm with you... I don't care for the speckling so much. Maybe that's why I fell in love with the Candies. It reminds me of a banana with no specks. lol

Hate them. Seem to clean up when you mix them with other genes pretty well though.

I love them. Only bad part was checking to make sure each one was not a mite when they were coming in. Drove me nuts!

Not to hijack your thread but I figured this would be a good place to ask. I have a pastel male(I was told) he seems to have freckling on his sides but not on the top* portion of his body. Is this normal?

I like freckling in general, it adds a sense of individuality to the snake.

I love it. Actual banana fruits get black spots when they age, and I think it's just so adorable that the snakes do too.

It seems fundamentally appropriate for the morph. That said, I prefer the freckling to be minimal - I like some, but not too much, which is why I love Spider on Bananas, I think. Eyeing a Fire Spider Banana currently... but it's a boy, and I really wanted to get a female... Of course, I also prefer that the fruit be a bit green, without any spots!
