    Mangrove snake owners?
Hello! I was hoping to find a few owners of mangrove snakes on here. Might be a long shot since they aren't exactly common pets.
The species I'm particularly interested in is Boiga dendrophila.
I was wondering if anyone has pictures of their set ups for this snake? (I would even be interested to see pictures of caging for other members of the Boiga family)
Just would love to see what anyone else has set up for them

I have never personally owned them but I worked at a shop that had a pair that I worked with for a while. Not sure on the specific local but they were yellow/black. They were originally a wild caught pair but had acclimated to captivity quite nicely. They were great eaters, always had good sheds and we're content being handled. Not hissing or striking of any kind.
As for enclosures they were kept in a 4' tall x 3' deep x 3 x wide cage. I do not think they needed that much space but it is what was available.
They are mildly venomous and rear fanged if I remember correctly so I would consider that and make sure you can legally keep them in your area before purchasing. Although their venom is mild you always run the risk of allergic reaction so you need to weigh the risk vs reward before handling them.
All in all they are great display animals. Vibrant colors and they are very active. I highly recommend if you have the means to keep them.

Oh don't worry. This isn't my first rear fanged and I'm not going to run out and grab one haha. It's gunna be a few years.
The rear fanged I have owned just weren't as heavy bodied as these guys. (I've only worked with like vine snakes and simular species.)
So I was just curious about how other people set theirs up. My pair of vines were in a 3Hx3Lx2W.
I was just curious and really just wanted to see how more experienced owners kept their mangroves haha
