Freezer burn?

Just asking, can rats get freezer burn? I've had about 5 rats in the freezer for a few weeks and my snake refused them all so I just bought some new ones that he ate.

I have noticed that a couple of my rat pups got some small spots of freezer burn. Its easy to see on them because they have short fuzz instead of fur. I'm assuming that since they did larger adult rats can as well. It didn't stop my pigs from eating them though.

I always vacuum seal mine if I have more then a weeks worth.

All freezer burn is is the accumulation of moisture freezing into solid ice on your 'product'. Which in this case is rats. Simple answer, yes. Like chrid said, vacuum sealing then prevents this. Same applies to food products.
