mite treatment during shed
So Kratos is going into shed and I want to give him his second treatment of natural chemistry reptile spray. Should I wait until he is done shedding or is it ok to use now? His eyes are milky and he his color is fogged, he hasn't actually started pealing skin yet. I'm changing his substrate now and will use provent a mite but not sure about reptile spray bc that goes right on him.

If you are treating the enclosure, hides, and paper substrate with PAM or another permethrin-based insecticide, then you could forego the Reptile Relief for a few days until he's done shedding.
The directions said do not treat snakes for at least 6 hours after shedding their skin so I wasn't sure if I was allowed to use before the skin has been shed. I figured it wasn't a good idea but I thought I would ask to make sure. I just used PAM in Persephone's enclosure when I discovered Kratos had mites a week ago but I didn't use reptile spray bc she was in shed but since I know Kratos has them I want to do a second treatment of both but I'll do the reptile spray the day after he sheds.

He was soaking 2 nights in a row 10 days ago and I inspected his water bowl and there was 1 mite in it. I took him out and inspected him and found only 1 on him. I treated with reptile spray and PAM and then was going to do second treatment today. Completely cleaned cage and sprayed PAM. He hasn't soaked since I did first treatment. I think I caught it before it became an infestation.
