Slow to gain weight? 5 consecutive meals, no luck

So I have been logging my BP's feeding, I got him 6 weeks ago, he is a 2015 Black Pastel Mystic. He arrived at 138 grams, has weighed as much as 168 grams and then today as of his last defecation, he is only 142 grams. So after 5 consecutive weeks of eating we have a grand total of 4 grams gained...this seems slow to me.

Week 1 - Rat fuzzy
Week 2 - Rat fuzzy
Week 3 - Weaned rat
Week 4 - Mouse
Week 5 - Mouse

I believe I am feeding appropriately sized prey, just want to make sure my guy is getting enough nutrition. Thoughts?

As long as he is maintaining and doesn't look thin, he's fine. Some put on weight faster than others. If you want him to grow, you can offer larger prey, or more frequent feedings, and ensure that you are feeding by weight, not eyeballing the size. Otherwise, he looks like a happy, healthy little guy to me!

Hey 4 grams is 4 grams lol at least he's gaining and 5 weeks isn't really that long of a period of time. We have just noticed our girl gaining and growing in the last month. She shed in less than 1.5 month in between so maybe he will shed and you will notice more growth. Keep feeding and be happy that he's not being a picky eater. He is very handsome btw looks healthy to me!

Fast metabolism lol

In my experience snakes tend to grow in spurts. I usually see no substantial growth for a long time, then suddenly a lot of growth, then nothing again.
