    boaphile plastics rhp any good?
I'm buying a t8 with divider to house my 2 leopard geckos in since I'm completely converting everything to PVC. I'm thinking of buying the 1611 50w from boaphile but I haven't heard anyone talk about them so I have no idea the quality. I use the reptile basics in my bp and I really like them but they just don't come in the size I want. I'll be cutting the divider to slip the 1611 through so that way each Leo has a 8x11 hot spot and I think 50w will be plenty to give me a hot spot of 88.

Can I ask why you're buying such an enormous enclosure for just two geckos? That's a ton of room.

I agree with JoshSloane... ... I'd think you could put two geckos on each side... and just get two small RHP's... one for each side. Now you can have 4 geckos. :)

I haven't heard about boaphile RHPs. I wasn't aware they made their own. Pro products and RBI are the usual suspects for heat panels.

I've had these leos for years and I know them quite well. They were miserable in there 20 gallons so I moved them to 40 gallon and what a difference. They went on a hungry strike until I moved them and wouldn't even let me pick them up. 24hrs after moving into the 40 they were back to normal. I've tried down grading do to the fact that 2 40 gallons take up quite a bit of room and they were miserable again, not eating and no handling so I moved then back and sure enough 24hrs later back to normal. The 40 gal is 36 long 18 wide and each side of the t8 will be 24x24 but I think the added width will make up for the length decrease so they will still be happy I hope. Worse comes to worse if they don't like it then I don't have buy another t8 when my killer bee grows up. But if they do like it I will be buying another in the future to stack right on top of the other. It will actually save me space in my house lol

Yeah Ik its crazy. I wish it wasn't that way. Got them as babies with there own 20 gallons and then once they reached adulthood they just weren't having it anymore. After a month and a half of not eating and beIng nippy when trying to handle I tried a bigger cage and everything was back to normal. It is what it is, we are just slaves to are animals lol
