    Hydrofarm Thermostat E3 error??
    So my Hydrogarm thermostat keeps flashing and "E3" error code. I looked online and it told me to "E3: temperature is above the high limit. To reset the MTPRTC: Unplug the unit and then while pressing the set button, plug the unit back in."
    I did that several times but it hasn't worked, it always goes back to the flashing E3 sign.
    I'm not sure what's wrong? is it really the thermostat that's broken or is the heat mat? I've unplugged it all for now.

    Has anyone had this problem and solved it?

    UPDATE: Okay just noticed that my rabbit chewed the probe wire and it's only half-attached. Is there a way to get a new probe+wire or do I just have to buy a new thermostat

    It'll be faster and cheaper to just get a new Hydrofarm.

    :tears: I wish they made the probe replaceable. Considering the thermostat itself is still functional. D;

    Junk it and get a Herpstat. They have replaceable probes.

    Aw, free range bunnies, I can't begin to tell you how many electronics I've lost in my in household over a 10 year period.

    I feel ya man.

    Oh my gosh, me too! Bunnies are so cute, and sweet, but they can be trouble makers! My rabbit, Happy, hasn't gone after any snake cords so far, but she will get any phone charger you leave out. Dang silly little bunzlers!
