How concerned should I be? (~700g Male breeder)
Hello all, I'm pretty concerned about my male Enchi Pied breeder. He was about 700g at the start of the season and has been a champ since November. He's had a schedule of roughly 3, five day weeks in a row, then the fourth week off. He's been feeding on and off but has dropped weight. He's a little thinner than I'd like so he's had two weeks off because he's refused his meals for the past 3 weeks. Last night, after his two weeks off, he took a small meal (live rat weanling) quickly, started to eat it, but then spit it out after he had swallowed only the head. This hasn't happened to any of my snakes before so I'm a little worried about him. He's so awesome and definitely one of my favs. Do you think something just randomly scared him? Should I offer him food again today? Tomorrow? All experiences and suggestions welcome! Thanks! :gj:

Schedule sounds a little heavy. I'm running 2 days on 1 day off and another day off after feeding. I take the boy out early if I have a confirmed lock. I have been lucky and the males on this schedule have not gone off food but all my girls have.

I think I'll offer him another weanling tomorrow. Or should I wait a full week? But that will be three weeks off food... Seems a little long for a male I would still like to be productive 😕
