Oh he's so perdy! I can see why you call him Flame. It does look like flames are creeping up his sides. I love how his eyes are, very deeply colored.

By all means. :) It's kinda crazy to sit down at the comp. & see that big flaming orange eye staring back at you! :D

Those are absolute beautiful pictures! Of course it helps to have a very photogenic subject. :D What kind of camera do you use? The detail is amazing!!

What an incredible set of photo's Kara (and well worth the wait for us poor dial-up folks), however, I'm not letting Mike see it LOL I don't want to hear about his dream of owning that sort of huge snake one day.
Hmm, actually that brings up a thought. We have a reptile rescue here in Michigan and one of their rules is that won't adopt out a huge breed snake (over 6 or 7 feet I think was their rule) to a single person living alone or a family with a small child....any comments? I know with a 4 year old in the house I'd be more than a bit hesitant about owning something that big. Can you or rather should you ever handle such a snake alone?

Wow, that is a dramatic color change! I don't know what it is about retics, but they just seem to have a more sinister look to them, like they're the tough guys in the group, compared to most of the other boids. Thanks for sharing the pics.
