Northern White Lipped Python
Wanted one for a while and a local friend was kind enough to sell me a little girl. Can't wait to see how she turns out! She's nippy in a defensive way, but she isn't nasty. Just doesn't like quick movements.
October 2015 baby.... she's just a little worm.

Very nice and I'm looking to watching her grow.

They are difficult to breed! I hear the males have to engage in combat. I'm sure there are people doing it here and there, I know there have been at least a few attempts, and I personally know people who are looking to try it in the near future.
This year, we've seen more imports than ever in the past ~15 years. It's crazy! You can actually find them for sale which is wild. We're expecting imports to "dry up" any time now though... anyhow more people have them now so maybe some import buyers will try breeding. Due to difficulty though, if they do dry up soon, I don't see the pricetag falling much for the next few years.
Especially because people like to buy cheap imports and /not/ take them to a vet, then wonder why their pretty snake died... heh.
Edit: I've also been seeing a lot of "captive hatched" but imo that's essentially a more friendly term for wild caught. Most of the time your "captive hatched" babies will still come with parasites, from what I've seen.
