    Hoggie on the lose
Went into the snake room to check on everyone (still no eggs from my ball python girl...sigh). Anyway I step up to the rack and hear 'hisssssss!' Which is nothing new, my female hognose hisses at me every time I step near. However this was a much tinier hiss. I look down and my male hognose comes out from the side of the rack and raises up and hisses at me again from his place on the floor. I was so shocked, not only that he was out of his tank (he has a tank not a tub) but that he was coming out to challenge me and/or demand food. I reached down and he just let me pick him up no problem. I checked his tank and it seems to be 100% on lock down! I have no idea how he got out or why this was the first time if it's not escape proof.

So I turned on my hatchling rack and he'll live in there until I can figure something else out!

I'm just glad he's brazen enough to come out of his hiding spot!.

It really was kinda adorable! "You there! Human! Feed me and put me back where it's warm!"

I love hognose. Best personality ever. My female when I open her tub she comes right out, raises her head up like a cobra and hisses with her head all flattened out. But the instant I pick her up she's good with it. She'll also politely take a f/t mouse right from my hand.

I'm glad too! I'd be devastated to lose Sir Huffington. Of all the snakes I've ever had I am the most emotionally attached to him. He has soooo much attitude and personality. I actually sold him when I moved across country because I didn't know where I was going to end up. After I got settled I missed him so much I called the guy I sold him to and he was nice enough to sell him back to me.
