Ok one more caging question
It's getting close to cage upgrade time for Vicky and I got a new dilemma. I've pretty much narrowed it down to either an AP T-10 with a shelf which is 48x24x15 PVC for $280 delivered. My other option is a Constrictors NW 60x24x16 HDPE cage with no shelf for $415 delivered. My question is which would be actual room for my girls? I know the shelf adds room but is it enough to offset a whole extra foot in length and 24 inches in depth? Also there is the price difference of course.

For a very little more $ you could add some nice, thick perches to the HDPE cage and equal any shelf option IMO.
That 5 footer is a great size and you probably will never need another cage for that boa.
I have a 48" x 30" x 20" and my BC is probably going to max at 6.5 to 7 feet. He is VERY comfy in this size. The 30" of depth coupled with 20" of ceiling space makes my
48" x 24" x 14" seem small.

There are a lot of people who still keep good sized BCs in a 48" x 24" x 11.5" Boaphiles.
A 5 footer will seem giant when you set it up.
You could look at a T-25 but with shipping it will be even more.
Good luck.

Yeah I figured I could just make a shelf with some L brackets, screws and cut a piece of PVC. I was looking at the AP T-13 which is the 48x30x18 for $380 shipped to me also but not sure I really want that depth to try and clean lol.
The 5 footer did kind of appeal to me.
Oh I talked to Ali about the T-25 as that was my first choice but the shipping alone to me would be $225 plus the cage. So it would end up running me something like $700 after all is said and done. I'm looking for something that will give good size yet not cost me an arm and a leg lol.
So yeah, how is that 30" deep to clean? Are you pretty much in there to the armpits when cleaning? lol. Also how is it to get your snake out? Mine come out a lot and the 24" makes it a lot easier to just reach in and drag em out. Not sure how the 30" would be.

No, it's not bad at all. I would not want to go much deeper, but if you look at my setup in the pictures, the 2 hides go in the back. He usually poops in a hide, but will pee up front for an easy clean. I think if it was shorter than 20" I would possibly have a tougher time. I really like the depth though it adds to the "look" somehow.
