HELP: my baby bp crawled into a food scale

I was weighing him, but went to answer the phone for like a minute and came back to him crawling inside >__<

He was also so far in by that point, it was impossible to yank him out.

There also seems to be no way to unscrew this particular food scale and take it apart... Anyone have any advice on how to get him out safely?

Is the scale big enough to put in his cage? I would put it in his cage and then wait for him to crawl out. When was he last fed?

The scale is a little too big for his enclosure, but he was fed 5 days ago and just pooped yesterday, so he's empty now.

I've been thinking of putting the scale in an air conditioned room and leaving his heat mat over another hide somewhere.

If you have a big enough container, put the food scale in there and try to lure him out with food. I used to heat my frozen mice and rats under a heat lamp (about a foot away from the meal items) and the smell had the snakes crawling out of their hides in no time.

Hmm, I have no mice right now , but getting one tomorrow at the pet store. I'll try that thanks.

This particular bp is also really scared of water, how safe would it be to try to run some water (shallow) through the scale to "scare" him out?

He's about 650 grams and 1.5-2 inches in diameter, feeding on adult mice/small rats, so I'm pretty amazed he managed to squeeze himself in there to begin with >.<

Are those hex-head screws, or rivets that hold the panels together on the bottom? It looks like it's made to be able to take apart, just from the pictures, but it's hard to tell. If so, you just need a hex key (allen wrench) that fits to take it apart.

They appear to be rivets, no polygonal/hexagonal shape, just a round hole.

In that case, unless you can get a chisel and cut them off, all that I can suggest is just what others already said... put it inside an enclosure big enough to be secure, put water in there well away from the scale a hide with warmth underneath to tempt him into going into it instead of back inside the scale, get some food, and wait for him to be hungry enough, thirsty enough, or uncomfortable enough to come out.
