Recycled Paper Roll Substrate? Used to Get it, Can't Find it Now?
Hey All,
Long time lurker, first time poster. Bred Burmese, Brazilian Rainbows, and normal Balls when I was in my late teens. I paid $1000 for my first Brazilian....man have the times changed. Fast-forward 20 years - I sold everything off when I left for school 20 years ago, but got back in the game two weeks ago when I brought the family to the Tinley Park show. Left with a beautiful pastel lesser female, for a pet....at least that's what I told my wife.
Anyways, I used to get this great substrate paper roll at the Streamwood reptile swap back in the day, but can't seem to find anything like it now. If I recall correctly, it was recycled paper, brown-bag in color, and came on a large roll roughly 12" wide by about 50 feet in length. It was thick also. Not cardboard thick, but heavy duty. It was so easy to just pull it out and replace and I'm hoping one of you can point me in the right direction to find something similar. I realize that I can use newspaper or paper towels, but I just loved the absorbing properties, color and ease-of-use with this stuff I used to get. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like that may be a type of Kraft paper to me. I use a roll i get off of amazon and think it is great stuff for the price. $15 for 12 X 765ft I think is awesome :)

Thanks for the replies! Hard to tell from the pictures, but it does look like it may have been a kraft type of paper. I'll give it a shot. Thanks again.
