    Weird habits?
I really hope this is the right place to put this (it was between here or BP Husbandry but I'm assuming here since it's more general discussion instead of care). But, my cute lil girl has done this twice now while holding her. She wraps around my fingers, gets real cozy, and then uses one of my knuckles to like... nuzzle? She's applying pressure but not much, and just rubbing her chin on me really gently. She'll occassionaly rub her body against my fingers too but that's usually like a position change rather than the nuzzling thing. I highly doubt it's a sign of affection, she's a snake (but science has been wrong), so do any of your guys' pythons do this?

I've got a little black pastel juvie who does this as well. My mom always makes the comment that he's "hugging" our hands, which she thinks is adorable. I've always seen it in a sense of he's a bit uncomfortable being handled, and so clings on as tightly as possible, occasionally moving his head against our hands as he gets a sense of his surroundings.

Maybe the nuzzling is either trying to decide whether she's nervous enough to hide her head under something? Or also, if she's nuzzling your knuckles, hoping to find a gap between your fingers that she can hide in?

I think sometimes when they wrap tightly around hands/arms/etc, it's because their skin doesn't slide smoothly over ours, especially if you're warm and the area being insulated by the snake's body gets just a little sweaty. They kinda stick a little. :)

I've also seen the nuzzling motion when the snake was trying to rub to get a shed started. (Mr Bubbles has done this, taking advantage of a wrist watch to get himself started shedding while being held.)

@HannahLou she's just a little normal ball python. No special morphs or anything like that.

Glad to know she's not the only one. A nervous thing definitely sounds possible since she's so little. She's not showing any signs of a shed so far so I don't know about that but I could be surprised lol. Ive noticed the sticking thing though, I have naturally warm/sweaty hands and she'll get hung up sometimes, I find it a little funny but I'm sure it frustrates her, haha.
