Male feed schedule?

Just curious on some thoughts from you. I have a male ball that is just over a year now sitting at 760g. He has been on small rats 1x a week for quite some time now. I've read males usually only get 1 small rat a week. Is this true? I noticed after eating he will look around for more. Just him being a pig?

My males breed better when they are leaner(compared to females). None of my males make it past small rats, but that could be situational depending on the shop you buy from and what they consider small rats. A medium would not hurt if you want to spend the extra money. Most of the males I have now are 4+ years of age, but I had some 8 and 9 year olds that were also on small rats.

I offer adult males one small rat per week.
