Shatter Pattern or scarring?
Hey! So, I'm not even sure if this should go here or in the morph section so I'm posting it here. My aunt got this female as a shatter pattern, and none of us here have any experience with that morph. The thing is the guy we got her from lied to us about what she was eating, and when we got her and really looked at her scales we thought some of it looked like scarring so maybe he was lying about what she was as well. We can't find any pictures online of a shatter with the black on their back like this girl has. She doesn't really have much black on her sides where the shatter pattern usually seems to be, and as you can see in the first picture some of the scales are deformed. The areas are also raised a bit and a little bumpy. Does she look like an actual shatter or does it look more like scaring from eating live? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

That looks very suspicious! I would return the animal right away and say i am not satisfied, period. :(

It's already been about a month and a half so we couldn't return her now anyway but my aunt wanted to keep her anyway since the price was so low (which was also suspicious IMO). She's a big girl and can at least be used as a normal breeder. It's already been about a month and a half so we couldn't return her now anyway. From what I've found shatters are usually pretty expensive so I was like whattt? When I saw the low price on it. Especially considering she's breeding size.

I would still consider contacting him. The other recourse you have is to go on fauna classifieds BOI (BOARD OF INQUIRY) and give him a poor rating based on your experience with him.

I see scaring too, I hate people like this who misrepresent their animals.
