Ghost is one of those genes that looks good on just about anything, ofcourse that is debatable, but most people will agree. It is a recessive color effecting morph, so pretty much just pick a gene that you like the pattern of, just remember ghost is recessive, so if you get/have a visual ghost .... whatever you breed it to will also need to carry the ghost gene whether it be another visual or a Het .... otherwise you will just end up with a bunch of Het ghost babies :gj:

I have an 0.1 Enchi Hypo that I have paired with 1.0 Lesser het Hypo. I've got a few other hypo and het hypo males and females that I am still growing up. Like Deborah said you want to pair with something that is at least het hypo. Best of luck and I look forward to pictures when you get your Ghost.

The Enchi Hypo is a great combination. You can ask Deborah about her Blade Enchi Hypo het Clown. Speaking of Hypo Clowns, they are really great looking and one of the projects I am getting into. The project that I am really excited about right now is my Hypo Pied project. You can ask rlditmars to see a picture of the one that he recently got. If you need more inspiration, just look at this thread by lyfoti05 (http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...-Hypo-Pairings) who is doing some awesome work with the Hypo gene.

I was looking through the morph market to see what can be produced with the ghost gene and I'm really digging the humblebee

Are you looking to do a long term project to tinker and just get the experience? The reason I ask is because with the ghost male you just purchased in order to get a humble bee the female would need to be a bumblebee Het ghost in order to produce a humble bee, and quite frankly for what you would pay for a bumblebee Het ghost ... you could spend an extra 50 to 80 bucks and just buy the humble bee

    Humble bee = pastel/spider/ghost genes

    Bumblebee = pastel/ spider genes

    Pastel is a (Co-Dominant) gene
    Spider is a (Dominant) gene
Both of these genes only require one of the parents to carry the gene in order to produce the gene

    Ghost is a (Recessive) gene
With a Recessive gene both of the parents need to carry the gene in order to produce a visual specimen of the gene .... there is a non visual version of a recessive gene which is called a Het .. a Het carries the gene but it cannot be seen

It gets deeper than that but I'm not going to type up a whole lesson on genetics

    You have a visual ghost

The genetic's are quite confusing at first but once you learn how they work it is a breeze ..... Here you go:

Well I guess now I have to show off

    Hypo Enchi

    Hypo Enchi Blade Het Clown

One I have not introduced yet Hypo Super Mojave....yes it just a white snake but the possibilities of never producing anything less than Hypo Mojave if paired with the right male is what motivated me in getting her.

The goals for those ladies are to be incorporated in Clown and Pied projects.

OP if you are looking into Humblebee make sure you are familiar with the spider gene and are willing to work with it.

I do actually want it to be a long term project, I think it would be cool to say I started with this particular snake and over the course of time I produced this really beautiful snake with time and dedication.
