    Building a cage. ideas?
I want to build a two snake cage with a divider in the middle for my first (second coming) ball pythons. I start here with suggestions. Shoot.

A few questions before I can answer...

What is your budget, do you have a limit?

What materials do you think you will use?

How big will each section be?

How much of the inside of the tank should be visable?

Where are you going to put it?

Will it act as a piece of furniture as well?

Thanks, these are a few questions to give me an idea of what your looking for...

    Have a mice day.

Buy an AP T8 and the $20 divider. No brainer in my opinion.

It's hard to beat the t8. Their affordable, and take all the guess work out of it. Once you buy materials, hardware, and decent glass, you probably spent more.

Looks like $215 shipped for a t8 with sliding glass doors and a divider.

I built a t8 pvc, glass, track 137.00 not counting labor. Not counting led lights and flex watt , RHP . If your not skilled the t8 is worth every penny.

I'd just buy the AP. But that's partly due to me not being skilled at building things. Every cut is not quite straight and every measurement is some how off by a small fraction of an inch. I have built my own in the past but no longer do, they've all been replaced by AP.

i think the cost difference is inconsequential. of course many folks are natural DIY and find relaxation and satisfaction from that, in which case my only suggestion would be use pvc not wood. Easier to clean, lighter, won't absorb/rot or harbor insects. Even sealed it'll manage to do these things, unless of course that's just another consequence of my skill set.
